Greater Toronto Junior Chess Championship 2020 – GP3
for juniors born after January 1, 2000, with current CFC membership

Date: Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 15, 2020
Round Time:
Top and A section :- March 14 – 10:30, 2:30, 6:30, March 15 – 10:30, 2:30
Section B, C and D :- March 14 – 11:30, 2:30, 5:30, March 15 – 11:30, 2:30
Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 increments for Top and A; 60 minutes + 30 second increments for B, C and D: default time is 30 minutes.
Rating: CFC Regular rated for all sections. FIDE rated for top and A sections.
Rounds: 5 rounds Swiss (maximum 2 half point byes, round 1 to 4, requested by March 13.)

Top section: CFC 2000+
Reserves A, CFC 1500-2000
Reserves B, CFC 1100-1500
Reserves C, CFC 800-1100
Reserves D, CFC800>
Sections may cancel or combine if less than 12 players. Boys & girls combined. Rating as of March 13. Playing up a section (if the section is not combined) is allowed if within 100 rating points, as of March 13.

To register, fill out the online form and pay by March 2 ($70) or March 12 ($80), 2019 Registration closes after March 12.
In GP1 to 5, players score 2.5, 3, 3.5 will receive $5 Grand Prix money and 4, 4.5, 5 will receive $10 Grand Prix money. This money can be used to pay for any Seneca Hill Grand Prix tournaments in 2018-2019. We accept cash or e-transfer only if you are using this money. To see your GP money balance, please click here.
*Top 3 in Top and Top 1 in A – must completed registration before March 1 – CFC regular rating as of March 13. $70 will be rebated to these 4 players upon successful completion of all rounds.
^Players must complete all rounds in Mock CYCC in order to claim the full cash bursaries. The bursaries must be picked up at the end of the Mock CYCC. In case Mock CYCC is cancelled, players can claim 50% of the bursary in cash. Players do not participate in Mock CYCC can claim 50% of the bursary in cash. All cash is to be picked up at the Seneca Hill Sunday tournaments between July and December 12, 2020.
^^Balance after the entry fee payment will be given in cash.
e.g. 10 players >$600, 60% of $600>$360,
(1) play in Mock CYCC free, plus receive $290 cash.
(2) not play in Mock CYCC, receive $180 cash.
