2018 Seneca Hill OCC Qualifiers 2
Online registration is now closed. We have limited spots available for onsite registration. Please arrive between 11:00 and 11:15 to register.
Who: Student K to G.12 and open. Sections may be combined if less than 12 players.
Option of sections: (A) the student’s school grade or (B) open.
Open section is for pre-qualified players (announced by CMA at the end of January) who want the challenge and who want to win OCC FREE ENTRY.
Grade 1 to Grade 6 girls: This is also a qualifier for the girls to the Ontario-Quebec Team Championship in Kingston on June 9, 2018. Details here.

Where: St. Timothy Catholic School, 25 Rochelle Crescent, North York, ON M2J 1Y3 Map
Entry Fee: $30 paid by March 14.

Schedule:
Posting of pairings onsite: 11:30a.m.
Rounds 1-5: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 or earlier.
Awards After round 5
If a player doesn’t show up at the start time of the first round (12:00), the clock will be started. The game will be rated. If the player doesn’t show up at the end of the first round, he/she will be withdrawn from the tournament.
Format: 5 round Swiss pairings. Time controls: 25 minutes per player.
Prizes: Trophy for 1st, medal for 2nd and 3rd in each or combined section.
Tie-breakers for trophies and medals.

Free OCC Entries ($65 value each)
Open section: There is one Free OCC Entry guaranteed every four players in the open section. Prizes are given to top ranked players after tie-breakers. *
School grade sections: All players qualified through Seneca Hill Chess will be automatically entered into a draw for FREE OCC Entries. 1 out of 30 will win a Free OCC Entry.*
*The winners have to participate in OCC 2018 in order to claim the prize. OCC free entry winners in December 23 qualifier are not eligible,
Qualifier: 1 out of 10 players (or more) per section will be qualified to OCC 2018 (Sunday, April 22).

Registration and fee schedule:
Online registration for OCC qualifier 2 will be closed on March 14, 2018 at 9:00p.m.
$30 – register and pay by 9:00p.m. on March 14, 2018.
$50 register onsite (11:00-11:15a.m.), only if spot is available.
A registration is completed when the payment is received.
