2019 TORONTO WOMEN C h e s s C h a m p i o n s h i p
Schedule:
- Each round starts at 3:30pm (possible 2:30 by mutual agreement) every Saturday, from October 26 to December 14, except November 30, with December 21 as the make up day if any cancellation.
Venue:
- St. Timothy Catholic School, 25 Rochelle Crescent, Toronto ON M2J 1Y3, Northwest of Sheppard and Don Mills, 5 minutes walk from Don Mills Station
Format:
- 1 section, 7 round Swiss pairing, tie-breaker – Buchholz, maximum 2 half point byes round 1 to 6, requested by 3 days in advance (by Wednesday).
Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 second increment from move one
Default time: 30 minutes
Registration:
- Online form at TWCCC
- Entry Fee: $90 (pay by cash in person to Seneca Hill Chess OR eTransfer to admin@senecahillchess.com)
- A registration is completed when the organizer successfully receives the online form and payment by October 21, 2019, 11:59pm. After that, registration closes.
Refund Policy:
- If a registered player cancels: Before October 21, 11:59pm: full refund, after: No refund, transfer or credit.
Prizes (Based on a minimum of 8 players):
- A chess clock will be awarded to the 2019 Toronto Women Champion
- 1st – $400 • 2nd – $200 • 3rd – $100
- Top junior girl (born after January 1, 2002), if not 1st , 2nd or 3rd – $100
Rated:
- This event is CFC rated. All players must be CFC members in good standing.
- This event is also FIDE rated.
Miscellaneous:
- 2 ply scoresheets are provided. Original to be submitted.
- Chess sets and clocks are provided.
- Free parking
