Rounds: 6 rounds – 2 rounds per Sunday, (2:30 and 4:30 or earlier)

**We need 3 Sundays to complete a tournament. However, it is okay that you come for any one, two or three Sundays. You will get a maximum of 2 half point Byes round 1 to 5.

Time Control: 60 minutes or 50 minutes plus 10 seconds per player per game  (2:30 and 4:30 or earlier)
Any pre-registered player who arrives at the chess board 30 minutes after the start of the session shall lose the game.

Sections:
A: Minimum rating required: CFC regular 1100* as of the Friday before the first game.
B: Any rating as of the Friday before the first game.
*At the organizer’s discretion:
-A player with lower or no CFC regular rating  may enter A section if he/she has a higher CMA or CFC active rating.
-Section A and B may be combined.
-Minimum rating required may be changed to balance the number of players in the two sections.

Tie-breaks: (1) Win counts (2) Head to head (3) Performance of opposition.

Prizes:
Section A:  Trophy for 1st, medals for 2nd and 3rd. Champion play free in the following tournament (3 weeks).
Section B: Trophy for 1st, medal for 2nd and 3rd.

Refreshments: Snacks and drinks are provided.

Fee: $15 per Sunday or $100 (non-refundable) for a maximum of 10 Sundays per player in a year.

Requirement: Moves must be recorded/written. Score sheets will be provided.

Results: Final results are posted at CFC website. You can find your CFC # and CFC rating at the CFC website.

Registration: Players MUST pre-register online before 11:00a.m. in order to be paired for the first round of the day.
