Sunday Chess Tournaments for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students.

The tournament is rated by the Chess’N Math Association. Sections will be divided by CMA ratings as well.

More experienced/Higher rated players are encouraged to join our CFC rated tournaments. Details here.

Date: We are open every Sunday except the long weekends and some special occasions.

Location: St. Timothy Catholic School. 25 Rochelle Crescent, North York, ON M2J 1Y3. Just go in through the main entrance and you will see us.

Number of rounds: Varies – usually 3 to 5. Last round starts before 4:30.

Start time: 2:40 p.m.

Time control: usually 25 minutes per player per game.

Entry fee: $15  per tournament, or $100 for 10 tournaments per player in a year. 

Prizes: Medals for those in clear first place for each group, ribbons for all participants, and trophies for three time medalists (clear first place).

Refreshments: Snacks and drinks are provided.

Registration: Pre-register by email or webform below is strongly recommended. Pre-registration will be accepted until 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. 

Onsite registration:  2:20-2:30. Players that show up after 2:30 without pre-registering may not be able to enter the tournament.
