2 Seneca Hill teams: K-G.3 and G.4 -G.6 and other Ontario top teams went to Kingston to meet the top teams from Quebec on June 9.

Our 2 Seneca Hill teams became the CHAMPION in each section of the Ontario and Quebec inter-province tournament!

In the CCC which was held in Halifix on May 20 and 21, Benjamin came first in Grade 2 and Jonathan came 3rd in Grade 1.  We are so proud of you!

Champions

The finals were held on May 4 at  Lawrence Park.

Both of our teams: Junior and Primary came first in the TDSB finals. We brought back to school the two big trophies and two pennants. Each player received a medals. Seneca Hill, congratulations for another successful and amazing year!

Many of our students and club members did very well in the Ontario Chess Challenge on April 22.

As we announced before, we will sponsor $100 to our student, Benjamin Lin who made it to the Canadian Chess Challenge 2012 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We will also continue to sponsor him to play at Hillcrest weekly.

Congrats to the Seneca Hill Public School Team which participated in the Toronto Secondary School Chess League team finals on April 20.  They played in the junior section, that is for grade 10 and under.  The team came second after UTS. They won 5 medals, a chess clock and $160 Ontario High School Chess Championship entry fee.

Seneca Hill PS Chess Teams participated in the Chess’n Math Ontario Team Tournaments.

We had multiple teams in both K-G.3 and K to G.6 sections.

All the teams did very well. We captured the first and fourth in the K-3 section and second, fourth and fifth in the K-G.6 section.

Both Seneca Hill first teams will play top teams from Quebec in Kingston on June 9.

We will sponsor any of our Seneca Hill students who make it to the Canadian Chess Challenge 2012, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Attendees of the tournament will receive $100 each from the club in recognition of their accomplishment.
